Drill, Baby, Drill!

Ann Poehler has outdone herself in the above clip. I think I've rewound and watched that moose killing a good 50 times.

Shoot a mother-humpin moose, eight days of the week :)

I think I have a crush on Sarah Palin. Every spoof that comes out brightens my day, including this new porn spoof that just leaked (NSFW). It seems ironic that today's question concerns another type of drilling...DiClassified Drills to be exact:

Hey man,

I emailed you a couple of weeks ago to ask for your input in whether I should take Drills or go for AMP. Truth of the matter is I ended up doing both. I just completed the Drills bootcamp this weekend, and it was an extremely surreal experience.

Orleans conducted the bootcamp, and I have to say this guy just oozes confidence, sex appeal and power. It was inspiring to see this 5"6 dude teach us how we all have this power inside of us. My biggest sticking point was to channel my repressed sexuality, and get in touch with my masculinity. I could go on into so many details about this weekend, but I won't bore you with details.

The reason I brought this up is because I wanted to ask for your input on how to maximize the lessons that we were taught. I want to make sure that the drills stick to me and become part of my behavior. I invested all that money and want to make sure to follow through. I would appreciate it if you were to let me know what worked for you after the bootcamp, and what plan or course of action you took.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Thanks,
DG

DG,

Congrats! I'm sure you'll find that bootcamp to be a life changing experience. Of course, much of that depends on what you do your first few months. Here's what I did:

1) Practice makes perfect. I don't care what anyone advertises. The truth is any major life transformation takes time, patience, and practice. A bootcamp will point you in the right direction, but you have take the steps to get there. The first thing I did the very next day after my bootcamp was go out and hit on chicks. You have that bootcamp high so you might as well take advantage of it. You'll likely do very well cause your state is through the roof. In addition, you want to go out and internalize many of the realizations you made throughout the weekend. You'll likely find that you have certain sticking points Orleans pointed out to you, except that now, you'll start to catch yourself doing them and autocorrect yourself.

2) Along the same lines as #1: find someone else who also took the Drills bootcamp and practice the drills with him on a regular basis. A few months after I took drills, another participant contacted me with the idea and we spent a few months practicing once a week in a library of all places. Afterwards, we'd go out and spend an afternoon hitting on women in malls.

Practicing the drills is key because unless you really internalize this stuff on a deep level, you'll forget much of it or worse, regress to your chode status. It's no different than weight training. Hit the gym and eat well and your muscles will come. Stop going to the gym and the flab will return. That's just the way it is.

3) Keep in contact with Orleans on a periodic basis. I still email Brian Pettit for tips and I originally took Drills over a year and a half ago. They offer lifetime support, so definitely take advantage of that. As you get better, new issues will come up and while it's nice to go on message boards for advice from keyboard jockies, it's wiser to hear from a true expert.

4) Find guys who are really good with women and are at least five years older than you. It's really tough to become a pick-up artist in a world surrounded by chodes. You'll need all the support you can get. Two of my good friends who are good with women are also 15-20 years older than me. The value you get not only from their experience with women but from their own life experiences is immeasurable.

If you do those four things, you'll be well on your way. Let me know how it works out.

Later,

-The D
